Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a skin-freshening technique that helps repair facial skin that takes a beating from the sun and the effects of aging. We use a device like a fine sandblaster to spray tiny crystals across the face, mixing gentle abrasion with suction to remove the dead, outer layer of skin. As with other skin rejuvenation techniques, more than one treatment may be needed to reduce or remove fine wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation. Microdermabrasion is one of the more recent skin-care techniques to have crossed over from Hollywood to the mainstream. It's being advanced as an "instant facelift" -- an effective alternative to costlier and more invasive procedures like plastic surgery, chemical peels and Botox injections. Recently, more and more men are trying it, instead of pursuing cosmetic surgery.
Microdermabrasion can also improve:
Oily or dull skin
Enlarged pores
Clogged pores
Fine lines
Mild acne scars
Mild complexion problems (such as uneven pigmentation or poor skin texture)
The benefits of microdermabrasion also include enhanced circulation and lymph flow, which promote the internal health of the skin.
